“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
~ Matthew 5:16
Life Way believes that the choral and dramatic arts are some of the most powerful mediums that God has given us to reflect His image and display His glory.
Beginning in Fifth Grade, students have the option to participate in the Performing Arts program, which combines elements of choir and drama. This award-winning program has received Superior ratings at regional choir festivals but also develops students in areas of stage presence, public speaking, dramatic movement, and production design.
The goal of the Life Way music program is to produce life-long learners that appreciate music with a biblical worldview and are prepared to contribute their developed talents to their church, community, home, and institution of higher education.
From an early age, students are encouraged to make a joyful noise to the Lord while they establish building blocks for future musical experiences. Each semester, preschool and elementary students present a large-scale program that showcases their learning in the areas of music theory, music history, multicultural music, and instrumental/choral presentation.
Performing Arts students present several times a year at both school and regional events.
High School students present a full-scale dramatic presentation every Fall Semester and a Broadway-style musical in the Spring. Through these experiences, students learn public speaking, stage movement, dramatic theory, and stagecraft. Additionally, students develop life long skills such as collaboration, personal responsibility, team dynamics, and developing a growth-mindset. Past productions have included:
- Kilroy Was Here
- A Wrinkle in Time
