“No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.”

~ Hebrews 12:11

Did you know that in 1939 baseball was one of the first children’s activities to become nationally organized in a competitive way? It quickly became one of the most well-known and successful youth sports programs in the United States. Baseball is considered important in teaching the “American” values of cooperation, hard work, and respect for authority.

At Life Way we teach our players that their success as an individual and their credibility as a leader is not based solely only on their own ability, but the ability to bring out the best in their teammates as well. This is done by displaying Christian sportsmanship and exemplary work ethics, encouraging other teammates to work hard, and encouraging them to keep going when times are tough.

Our Varsity team is comprised of both Junior High and High School students. The baseball season starts at the beginning of May and continues through the end of July. The team maintains a game schedule each season of about 25 games, and some Saturday tournaments as well.
